Become A Producer

Anyone can be a program producer for Whitewater Community Television. There are two ways in which you can do this.

If you have had no experience with using a video camera, then you can sign up to take one of our camera workshops. To do that, call WCTV at 973-8488 and ask about the next available class. Taking the workshop will enable you to borrow equipment from WCTV (on a first come-first served basis) and begin taping your own programs.

If it is a program that does not require editing, you can submit your tape to the Operations Director along with a completed Application For Telecast form and program title information. The Operations Director will then schedule your program at the earliest available time.

Should you desire to do a program which requires editing, then you should also sign up for an editing workshop. Again, you can do that by calling WCTV at 973-8488 and ask about the next available editing class.

The second way you can produce a program is by submitting a tape which you have produced, with your own equipment, to the Operations Director along with a completed Application For Telecast form. If the tape requires titles include that information also. The Operations Director will then schedule your program at the earliest available time.

The Application For Telecast Form as well as other producer forms are available for downloading from this website.
