Wayne County Issues Travel Advisory (Level 1) for Snow Accumulations
A TRAVEL ADVISORY (LEVEL I) HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR WAYNE COUNTY ROADWAYS AND THE STREETS OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND AND THE TOWN OF CENTERVILLE DUE TO HEAVY SNOW ACCUMULATIONS AND BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW, MAKING TRAVEL HAZARDOUS.
This Advisory applies to all roads maintained by Wayne County Highway Department and the Street Departments of City of Richmond and the Town of Centerville. This Advisory will remain in effect until Monday, December 15, 2025 at 2:00PM.
This LEVEL 1 TRAVEL ADVISORY has been issued to warn those who must travel on Wayne County roadways and City Streets to use extreme caution due to snow accumulations.
If you must drive during this advisory, remain alert and use caution as you may encounter slick patches on roads and rapidly changing road conditions. Allow extra time to get to your destination, reduce your speed and increase the following distance from the vehicle ahead. Avoid sudden changes in speed and apply brakes and accelerator slowly and gently.
A LEVEL I TRAVEL ADVISORY DOES NOT IMPOSE ANY RESTRICTIONS FOR TRAVEL ON COUNTY ROADWAYS. MOTORISTS MAY TRAVEL AT THEIR OWN RISK.
